Heated Electric Blanket Reviews

Review Electric Blankets

The non-profit Electric Blanket Institute™ presents professional, scientific and unbiased reviews of each of the major brands of heated electric blankets sold in the United States. We explain the major differences between the brands so you can choose the one that is best for you.

None of the major professional consumer product rating type of organizations, such as Consumer Reports®, has done a full-blown review of electric blankets for about 15 years. The Wall Street Journal® did a blanket rating and review in 2006 and Good Housekeeping® magazine did a short review in January 2010.

Most people that we speak with are surprised to learn that only three companies produce almost every heated blanket sold in the United States. But each of these manufacturers sells under many brand names. The heating technologies and the fabrics vary considerably with each producer but the brands within each one are quite similar. There are a few lesser known brands and if you happen to need more information about one of them, don’t hesitate to contact us by using our Personalized Recommendation Services link. We will help you all we can.
